Times Tables mayhem

 Today in class we had a times table game where we had 100 seconds to get as many questions right.

Its so annoying because the questions are easy its just hard to type press and enter then do the same thing again.

 This week I enjoyed doing the sewing task because it was really relaxing and we had music going at the same time.

 A success I had was finishing my sewing.

 Something I found challenging is to sew the rights parts into my work that was challenging.

 This week I learnt about all the different fashions my class like.

 Something I am looking forward to next week is going to rippa rugby and athletics zones

 I have shown Aroha by always getting my friends to have fun.

A letter to Paretene te Manu

 

20 October 2020 Federal Government 85 Cameron Street Whangarei

 Dear Te Tai Tokerau Land Court,

 I am the nephew of Paretene Te Manu and I am writing to you today to tell you about the issue that has come across me and my family. This is not really fair. He is an old man. He can not really move so why force him to there is no reason. Also he will have to adapt to everything new like new diseases and infections. The land is spiritual. What are you going to turn it into a city? What's the point in that? Did you know that the land does not belong to you? it belongs to Paretene te Manu. So please let us keep our land, you do not really need it anyway. You have lots of places where you can build but you choose my uncles why. So please let us keep Little Barrier Island.

The past 3 weeks we have been reading a story about a person called Paretene te Manu who lives on a island called Little Barrier Island. The crown is trying to take it from him, But we acting as the newphew I have to write a letter to the Te Tai Tokerau Land Court telling them why not to claim the island.

My weekly Reflection

 

This week I enjoyed doing athletics every day of the week. I love the fitness.

 A success I had was finishing my recount. It took me a little while to finish but I finished it.

 Something I found challenging was finishing my math knowledge check on time. It was a good challenge for me.

 This week I learnt about all the different kinds of art that existed.

 Something I am looking forward to next week is going back to athletics training at school. 

 I have shown Aroha by helping my friends lift their mood up by making them laugh by telling them jokes or other things.

The most fun packed time ever

 

This school holiday I had truck loads of fun but I only went to 2 places which was the shop my Dad owns and I also went to Auckland.

 I spent 12 days with my Dad at his shop. Those days I did nothing but play PS4. My schedule was get there at 7 in the morning then plug everything in then play till 8am then buy myself a pie, eat that and back to gaming. At 12:30 I have lunch and I finally get off at 1:30 and pack everything up then go home. I spent 7 hours in total on the PS4 every single day for 12 days.

 The last 2 days I spent in Auckland where I spent 6 hours on a bus to go there and to come back that was annoying, but when we got there I had to DM my cousin to tell him we got to SkyCity and he can go and see us. We went to one of the newest malls in the city there was so much gaming equipment. I felt so excited I wanted to buy it all or use it. I felt like I had too much sugar but really I was nowhere near as excited as I was the next day. The next day I woke up and I went shopping (what a surprise) . After that I tried to get into the gaming room inside of the sky tower itself turns out you need an invite. The real reason why I went to Auckland was to celebrate my cousin's 21st birthday that night I had so much fun with all the people there I was over whelmed. when I got back to SkyCity I was so tired. That next day my eyes felt like falling out and I got a serious headache because I came back to my hotel late that last night. But when I got home I took a long nap. 

That was my Recount of the school holidays.

Weekly Reflection 

 This week I enjoyed editing the film I was in. It was fun because Hiroshi and I are good friends and we got to do it together and have fun for the rest of the day.

 The success I had this week was the fact that the film me and my friend edited was a success and it got on the TV that showed everyone's  group's film and the one I was in was up there. 

Something I found challenging was editing that film and staying on top of my work. I had to multi task.

Something I learnt is that when I got my Duffy book I got a book called Horrible Histories Middle age and that was saying that people got their heads chopped off and then sent to someone as a Present.

 Something I am looking forward to is another week of school. I am looking forward to that because it is one more week of school till school holidays.

 I showed Pono this week by helping my friend at tech. I helped him by cutting some of his metal pieces off.

Blake and I tried to do a partner challenge it was funny and challenging we had to use the 4 Cs Collaboration, communication critical thinking and creativity. What we used the most was communication I had a fun time

RRR My desk

I have bumps, scratches, drawings, carvings and pieces of rubber all over me. I am grumpy at the kids that leave all their work gear on top of me. At night I think it's nice with all the peace and quiet until it gets freezing cold it just gets uncomfortable. I was upset when all the kids walked into the classroom because it is going to be a long day with lots of stuff on top of me, but then I realised it's going to get warm. I feel tired and hot. Because all the kids and heaters are making it hotter and hotter.

My weekly reflection

This week something I enjoyed would probably be helping the little kids when our school was running cross country. I liked it because 1 I got to run half the course again and help the kids that I enjoy to help. 

This week I succeeded because I kept on top of my work and not being behind all the time. I succeed because this week we missed a day and in the class I am in we have somewhat of a lot of work.

 What was challenging this week would have been trying to keep on top of my work because of our 1 cross country day. 

 This week I learnt different technology that is used when working on metal work of welding. 

I am not going to be at school next week because I am off to Taupo for a week so I guess I am looking forward to no school ? 

This week I have shown Pono by helping and encouraging kids when we were running cross country. I was surprised how fast they ran their long distance run.

My reflection

This week was pretty cool because there were a lot of things that happened . The thing that I enjoyed this week would probably be going down to Whagerai and receiving 3 bottles of some sort of holy oil. There were so many schools down there that it was pretty nerve racking when receiving those oils. A success that I had this week was probably writing this Reflection. Because that means I have finished all of my work or most of it, that is what I'm proud of. This week what I found challenging was having 2 days away from school and still trying to finish my contract. This week something I learnt would probably be the difference between Pompalliers church and the church in whangarei which is controlled by ST Frances Xavier. Just having a Orchestra is so cool, and the design of the church is so cool. All the different bishops it was such a cool experience., Something that I am looking forward to next week is working on my Book that is about a mythical creature that I made. When I hang around with my friends I always help and sometimes I tell them what's right and wrong.

My School Holiday

My Auckland Holiday During the holiday my family and I went and drove down to Auckland where we stayed and the Grand hotel which is right next to the sky tower and Sky city. That same day we met up with our relatives from Auckland. We all walked down to Sky city and we went and looked everywhere just so we could have dinner but we ended up going to Dennys which is one of my favorite places to eat in the world. On Monday my Mum, Dad and I went to Dennys for breakfast, then we split up. Dad went to find Pb tech and me and Mum went shopping with my older cousin. I was trying to find some sneakers but every shop we went to had the best shoes for 1000 DOLLARS !!!!! The cheapest was at least 800 dollars, for shoes that's a lot. My cousin and I went up to the Sky Tower for free because he works for Sky City. That night we went to Sky City and we ate at Fortuna which is an all you can eat buffet, there were a lot of basketball teams from Australia. My family was joking about how tall they were like hey how's the air up there, then we started talking about how tall I was compared to one of the plays and I thought they were joking because they said go stand up to one of them so I thought they were being serious so I waited for the right time and one of the players was taking nachos out of the tray so it was my time to strike I soon figured out he is really really tall. Tuesday my family went to the hospital because my Mum had an operation which meant she got to stay at the hospital for a night and that meant for me I got the whole bed to myself. I was so excited. My Dad and I had Pizza for dinner, the pizza was so good ! On Wednesday we took Mum back to our hotel and my Dad helped me get the PS4 working but I figured out why it wasn't working. Our relatives came over and we hung around with them all day. That day when I was playing PS4 I was in the zone because I was playing Fifa/Soccer and I have not played that game for 2 years and I figured out that game is pretty hard so I was in the zone for most of the. Thursday Mum was much better which is a giant relief she could walk but only inside our room which is not much space to walk around and gain 20 meters because that is what the doctor said. Thursday was just a stay at home day, I played PS4. We went to the gym more PS4 and then we met up with our family and spent the rest of the day with them. Friday was the day where our Auckland relatives got a room just a level below our room which was pretty cool. My Auntie sent us some ice cream which we had in their room. It tasted so good. My Dad and I went up to the Sky Tower and we just enjoyed the view and took photos. At the end of the day we went to the relatives room and we ordered Uber eats. We got Sals Pizza. I had zero clue what that was but I soon found out that it is one of the biggest ! pizza in New Zealand. On Saturday we helped our relatives pack and put their bags in their car. After that we went to the gym my older cousin and I did some duo workouts which was hard work but worth it. After the gym we found some basketball players in the sauna there were a fair amount of them. I swam some laps and chilled in the hot tub. For lunch we ate at a Japanese restaurant, learning how to use chopsticks is hard, instead I used the kids chopsticks which are just ice blocks sticks but there is a hole that you put the 2 sticks together and you just squeeze them together. It's so much easier than using actual chopsticks. Sunday was when we had to leave. I was so sad Auckland is so much fun, but the relatives were one of the main reasons why it made it so fun. The drive home was long but it was entertaining. When we got home I went straight to the PS4 and just started vibing.

End of Term 2 Reflection

END OF TERM REFLECTION

The biggest highlight of the term was when we had to customize our own popcorn with anything we want and after that we watched a Movie. It was a very fun day because we all got to have fun and eat a lot of sugar that was my highlight of the Day. We had some bad times with the microwave but other than that is was a super fun day.

My biggest challenge would probably be drawing my self portrait. I´m only saying that because I am not good at drawing. I´m not talented when it comes to drawing or art but my cousins from the Philippines and and my Mum and my other cousins are good at art im just not the best artist.

My greatest success is when Koby & I built our Manutuku/Maori kite. Its my greatest success because we used the 4 Cs which is Creativity, Communication, Collaboration & critical thinking. It was very fun because we did a lot of cutting and finding all the trees and branches was a mission we searched all around the school but we just had to use the others trees.

During this Term I realized when Maoris celebrate Matariki/Maori new year they build kites to show their happiness. Its really cool because I like learning other country's culture its fun. Seeing all the other creative designs that others have made was so cool.

When I am on School holidays my family & I are going to Auckland for a week. When were done I am probably going to try and make a butt print in my chair, in other words I am going to game hard core. I going to hope I don´t rage and lose my privileges to play PS4.

All and all I had one of the best terms I have ever had with Pompallier Catholic School, mainly because we got to listen to music xD :). We got to things I would of never think of and there very creative. I cant wait to go through the other 2 terms is going to be a blast.
